I'm Lindsay (the voice behind Meet the Bowdens)! In 2017, I was a high school math teacher creating resources for my students.

After encouragement from a coworker, I decided to upload my resources to a website called Teachers Pay Teachers. That's when my baby "side hustle" was born.

Flash forward to January 2019: I found out I was pregnant with our first baby. I was ECSTATIC!

Then, dread set in.

The thought of leaving my baby at daycare after 6 weeks so I could go back to the classroom literally made me nauseous.

I decided that I would do everything in my power to grow my "side hustle" enough so I could stay home for one year.

I did ALL the things. I took courses about TPT. I poured hours into creating resources.

But here's the most pivotal decision I made:

I created an online course.

I created an online course to help teachers learn how to create math resources. The money from that course allowed me to stay home for a year.

When my daughter was born in October, I soon realized that one year wasn't enough. I loved my business, but I especially loved the time with my daughter. I wanted to grow my business into a legitimate, full-time job. Well...full-time INCOME.

I learned everything I could about online courses. I read books, listened to podcasts, read blogs, took courses, and immersed myself in marketing and online business. In the summer of 2020, I did my first real launch of my online course, Math Resource Academy. I made $47k in one week.

Y'all...this was BANANAS!

I made more in one week than I did in A WHOLE YEAR of teaching.

I knew I had found something absolutely amazing, and I wanted to share it with others.

As I continued to learn and grow as a business owner, I set up systems and practices that allowed me to make passive income from my course.

Basically, I am making money from my online course while I sleep. Or while I'm at the playground with my toddler. Or while my family is on vacation!

And this is really where our life of freedom began. We never knew this was possible. But if I can do it, anyone can! And I can't wait to show you how.
